Relaxing sea tour
If you’re looking for a weeklong escape from the frenetic pace of life in Europe, this is the trip for you. Take a vacation devoted to relaxation, cradled in the sun and waves. Discover experiences and places beyond your imagination; the memories you bring home will be unique, as will the photographs depicting your travels...
First day: travel to Venezuela. Morning departure and arrival in Caracas in the evening. Assistance upon arrival and transportation to a 5 star hotel near the airport. Overnight stay.
Second Day: cruise begins. Gran Roque – Sarqui. Morning flight from Caracas to Los Roques. Duration: 45 minutes. Arrival in Gran Roque, assistance and transportation via boat. Cabin assignment. Departure for Sarqui and arrival after about two hours of sailing. You will have the option of taking an excursion via tender to Espenqui Island, which is surrounded by mangroves and a favorite nesting place for numerous species of birds. Full board on the boat.
Third day: Sarqui - Cayo de Aqua - Dos Mosquises. Morning departure for Cayo de Aqua, whose name originates from its fresh water springs or “cayos”. Its sand absorbs rainwater, forming a sort of pocket that has been fundamental to the survival of the indigenous community in this area. Cayo de Aqua is considered the most beautiful beach of the entire archipelago. Afternoon departure for Dos Mosquises. Full board on the boat.
Fourth day: Dos Mosquises – Carenero. Visit to the Fundacion Cientifica Los Roques (The Los Roques Scientific Foundation), a marine biology center where endangered turtle species are raised. Afternoon departure for Carenero, which, together with Lanqui and Felipe Island, forms a calm water lagoon protected by mangroves. Full board on the boat.
Fifth day: Carenero - Noronqui. Morning departure for Noronqui with the rest of the day devoted to seaside activities. Comprised of three oxbow islands, Noronqui offers bays with secluded beaches and a calm central lagoon. Here you can snorkel and, with a bit of luck, swim with the turtles that come here to lay their eggs. Full board on the boat.
Sixth day: Noronqui - Crasqui. Departure for Crasqui Island and arrival after about one hour of sailing. Crasqui Island, inhabited solely by a small population of fishermen, is characterized by an expansive beach of fine white sand and crystal clear turquoise water, where pelicans perform acrobatic dives as they fish for the Camiguanas swimming close to the beach. Full board on the boat.
Seventh day: Crasqui, Rabusqui, Madrisqui. Departure for Rabusqui and arrival after about 30 minutes. While visiting the Rabusqui lagoon, you’ll have the chance to swim with the countless sea stars living in this area of the archipelago. Departure for Madrisqui, where the rest of the day you can enjoy seaside activities. In the afternoon, you can visit Gran Roque Island for some shopping and catch the sunset from the ancient Dutch lighthouse. Full board on the boat.
Eighth day: disembark, flight from Los Roques to Caracas. After breakfast, you will be taken to the airport. Flight to Caracas. Flight to your departure airport.
Typical day
Breakfast until 9. Set sail for the day’s destination. You can try your hand at drag fishing during the trip. Lunch on board. In the afternoon, you can go ashore and set up beach umbrellas for an afternoon of relaxation. Return to the boat for snacks. Free time. Aperitif at sunset followed by a dinner of fresh seafood caught during day.
What to bring
You don’t need to bring a large suitcase on this cruise. Everything you may need you’ll find on board ship. We do recommend that you bring a good supply of sunscreen in a variety of SPFs, a hat to protect yourself from the sun and basic medicine.
Flexibility
Flexibility is our prerogative! If you arrive at the archipelago after the tour has begun you will receive free transportation via motorboat from Gran Roque Island to the boat.
